We have taken note of the smooth completion of Montenegro's Referendum for independence. China respects the choice of the Montenegrin people and the result of the referendum, hoping that Montenegro and Serbia can properly handle their relations through friendly consultations. We have always enjoyed sound and cooperative relations with Montenegro. We are confident that our relationship will further develop on the new basis.
