China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and both are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The two countries and two peoples enjoy long-standing traditional friendship. Placing a high value on China-Kyrgyzstan relationship, China is glad to see the gradual restoration of stability and social order in Kyrgyzstan. China appreciates the efforts of the interim government of Kyrgyzstan to stabilize the domestic situation of the country. On the basis of the principle of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and non-interference in each other's internal affairs as well as in the spirit of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan, we will continue to work with Kyrgyzstan to consolidate and press ahead our traditional good-neighborly and friendly relations, expand and deepen our mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as business and trade, strengthen coordination to combat the "Three Forces", enhance coordination and cooperation under multilateral frameworks including the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization so as to make due contribution to regional peace, stability and development.
