Chinese Proficiency Competition in Finland

       On April 19, 2012, the preliminary round of the 12th Chinese Bridge- Chinese Proficiency Competition for Students was held in the Confucius Institute at Helsinki University. Six competitors from Helsinki,Oulu  and other cities  took part.

       HE Mr. Huang Xing, Ambassador of China to Finland presented at the activity  and made a few remarks. Mr.Huang Xing pointed out that language forms a bridge  for cultural exchanges. Without the bridge of language,it would be hard for people around the world to communicate with and learn from each other.Mr.Huang Xing expressed his hope that the Finnish students could master Chinese language and contribute to Sino-Finnish cooperation and friendship.

       Veli-Matti Palomäki, a student from Univeristy of Helsinki won the preliminary round and will  participate in the finals of the 12th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Students to be held in Changsha City of Hunan Province in China  on behalf of the Finnish students.
