Chinese Proficiency Competition in Finland

      On April 11,2012  the Confucius Institute at Helsinki University  held the preliminary round of the 13th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Students .The eight competitors from University of Helsinki, University of Juvaslyla and others  took part in the preliminary contest.

      H.E. Ambassador Yu Qingtai participated in the activity  and made a few remarks.Mr.Yu pointed out that language forms a bridge  for cultural exchanges. which helps people with different histotrical and cultural backgrounds understand and communicate better each other. Chinese Bridge competition can boost firendship between the international young people.Mr.Yu  expressed his hope that the Finnish students could master Chinese language and contribute to Sino-Finnish cooperation and friendship.

      Lauri Tanni, a student from Aalto  Univeristy  won  the preliminary round and will participate in the semifinals of the 13th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Students to be held in Changsha City of Hunan Province in China in July  on behalf of the Finnish students.

      Ms.Sun liping, wife of HE Ambassador,presented the  award to the winner   of  compeition.
