Ambassador Ma Keqing Presented Her Credentials to the President of Finland

On May 18, H.E. Mrs. Ma Keqing, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Finland, presented the letter of credence to Her Excellency Tarja Halonen, President of Finland. They had a cordial and friendly talk. President Halonen warmly welcomed Ambassador Ma's arrival in Finland. She asked Ambassador Ma to convey her warm regards to President Hu Jintao and invited President Hu to visit Finland at his convenience. President Halonen said, the sound relationship between Finland and China could be taken as model for the relations between European countries and China. During Finnish EU Presidency in the second half of this year, Finland would further develop Finland-China and EU-China relations. Ambassador Ma extended cordial greetings from President Hu Jintao to President Halonen, adding that during her tenure she would take efforts to promote the exchanges and co-operations in all fields between China and Finland.
