A Great Performance by the China Broadcasting Children's Chorus at Vaasa Choir Festival

    The China Broadcasting Children's Chorus attending the Vaasa Choir Festival won themselves a great success on May 19th, 2012.

    Apart from 7 folk songs from different areas of China, they also sang 4 foreign songs, including one Finnish folk song as an appreciation for the welcome they received in this country. The audience awarded the children after every song they presented with a warm applause. "It is the best cultural exchange, and the beautiful songs heartened everyone in the audience", Katariina Järvinen commented on Pohjalainen. Meng Dapeng, who was the conductor as well as the head of the choir was also highly commended for his skill and excellent selection of songs.

      China Broadcasting Children's Chorus is the first Chinese choir ever performed at Vaasa Choir Festival since its establishment in 1992,as well  as the first Chinese children's choir ever performed in Finland.
